This was the best sailing experience yet! went to see sites that are very off the beaten path (which are VERY cool) got priceless lessons in sailing, AND actually got to sail and be at the helm of a 36′ Sail boat! I def loved dropping anchor and swimming at a nearby island and the views were just amazing. RECOMMENDED for anyone interested in having a great time with one of the BEST hosts i have had the pleasure of hangin’ with. 5 Stars.

Our family rented a small sailboat with a wonderful instructor (Scooter) who taught us alot about sailing in a short afternoon. Everyone got a chance to take the helm and it was a fun and rewarding experience. Sorry we missed your visit, hope to see you again…the Peters 196

We had the best time sailing Memorial Day weekend and such a great host. I learned a lot about sailing – which is how I like it… lots of hands on and the whole group helping out. Went with several friends and we all had a blast, only wished it lasted longer. Great time – highly recommend!

Had a great time with Capt. Scooter today, learning how to sail on Pamlico Sound.
He is a very patient and informative instructor and we had a lot of fun.
He gave us the confidence to try sailing on our own.
Thanks,
The Tanner family

Last week, when I was down in Salvo for vacation, I saw the wind forecast was favorable one day, and called up Scooter last minute. He didn’t even hesitate to accommodate us last minute. The 16′ catamaran was rigged and ready for us within the hour. With a few key instructions on tacking and boat balance, we were off reaching back and forth across the sound. Beautiful day, and also spotted a sea turtle along the way.
Thanks, Scooter!
